Panama/Costa Arriba Recreation

Costa Arriba de Colon offers a myriad of recreational activities. Water related activities abound-- swimming, snorkeling, beach combing, fishing, and sailing-just mention a few. Offshore fishing is good with grouper, snapper, tuna, and even an occasional billfish to be found.

Great scuba diving and trips to the San Blas Islands can be found at Caribbean Jimmy's Dive Resort in Nombre de Dios. The resort also offers horseback riding and jungle tours.

BUT there is more to Costa Arriba than just the water related activities--

Rain forests, coastal mountain ranges and jungle offer opportunities for bird watching, horseback riding, visiting waterfalls, hiking and the chance to see exotic fauna and flora in an environment often untouched by man.

This is the land of the howler, capuchin, tamarin and spider monkeys Toucans, parrots and an occasional macaw can also be seen

"Tigres" and ocelots still roam the mountain jungles. Colorful and exotic flowers and orchids grow wild on the trees. It is a beautiful and exotic place -just several hours from the hustle of Panama City - but a world away in terms of natural beauty and tranquility.
